في شهر أغسطس من العام الماضي، أجرى القسم الثقافي بموقع هيئة الإذاعة البريطانية BBC، استطلاع رأي حول أهم 100 فيلم سينمائي في القرن الواحد والعشرين. وكان من بين الملاحظات على القائمة، قلة عدد الأفلام الكوميدية، واعتبر البعض أن هذه نظرة استعلائية تجاه كل ما يقتنص ضحكات المشاهدين، ليطرح سؤال مهم محل بحث وجدل بين صناع الأفلام ومحبي السينما: "هل زرف الدموع أكثر قيمة عاطفيا من الضحك أثناء مشاهدة فيلم؟"

وبمراجعة تاريخ أكاديمية فنون وعلوم الصور المتحركة المانحة لجائزة الأوسكار، تبين أن 7 أفلام كوميدية فقط حصلت على جائزة أفضل فيلم خلال 89 دورة، وهم: It Happened One Night، وYou Can’t Take It With You، وAround the World in 80 Days، وThe Apartment، وTom Jones، وAnnie Hall، وBirdman.

لهذا قرر موقع BBC، التركيز هذا العام على الأفلام الكوميدية، وأجرى استطلاع رأي شارك فيه 253 ناقد سينمائي -135 رجل و118 امرأة- من 52 دولة في العالم، للإجابة على سؤال: "ما هي أفضل عشرة أفلام كوميدية على مدار تاريخ السينما؟"

وأكد الموقع أنه لم يقدم أي تعريف محدد لمعني الفيلم الكوميدي، ولكن ترك لكل ناقد حق تحديد ذلك. ولكن كما تجري العادة، حث المتخصصين على اختيار الأفلام القريبة من قلوبهم والاعتماد على التفضيلات الشخصية وليس التي تتوافق مع المعايير المثالية للفن والسينما.

وصدرت القائمة النهائية أمس الثلاثاء، وتضمنت 100 فيلم سينمائي، من بينهم 3 فقط من الفائزين بجائزة الأوسكار. وكانت المفاجأة في قلة عدد الأفلام الكوميدية التي صدرت منذ عام 2000، وأحدثهم الفيلم الألماني Toni Erdmann الصادر عام 2016.

وجاء في المركز الأول فيلم Some Like It Hot، إنتاج عام 1959، فيما تشارك فيلمين على المركز الأخير؛ وهما The King of Comedy الصادر عام 1982، وThe Ladies Man الصادر عام 1961.
